The benefits of putting milk in your bath

The legend says that Cleopatra took donkey milk baths to soften her skin. A well-kept secret of her divine beauty. Putting milk in your bath will hydrate, repair and restore elasticity to your skin. The result: A skin soft to perfection. Incredible right?

Luckily, there are vegan options for this quirky beauty hack. Vegetable milk, whatever it is, will give just as beneficial and wonderful effects on your skin as animal milk.

Why put milk in your bath?

Milk is known to reduce spots due to skin aging and excessive sun exposure. The lactic acid contained in milk removes dead cells to leave a smooth skin and sweet.

If you are one of the people who have skin irritations, the milk bath reduces itching and dryness. However, if you have any questions, it is best to seek advice from your healthcare professional/dermatologist.

Milk baths are also a way to relieve muscle and joint tension. Milk would have the effect of relaxing muscle tissue.

Immersing yourself in a bath of more or less hot water, depending on your preference, remains a must to lay down and relax. Alone or in pairs, with or without music, you create a bubble of sweetness and let yourself be transported by the benefits of milk and oils, smells and sensations.

Adding essential oils in the milk bath is also a good way to gain relaxation. You can put our pure oils with Lavender, Chamomile or even Peppermint, it's up to you to choose your essential oil according to your sensitivity and your needs.

How much to use?

You can put a liter of vegetable milk of your choice in your bath. You can then add the oils or bath salts of your choice. By the way, the rose milk bath is wonderful. You can put on the Quartz immersive kit, like any other kit, and your skin will be naturally scented and softened.

Which milk to choose?

- Oat milk: Due to its antioxidant properties, oats can help reverse the damage that UV rays and pollution have caused to your skin. In addition to its moisturizing properties, it eliminates impurities and dead cells. The clay nature of oats makes it an excellent scrub for sensitive skin that cannot tolerate regular exfoliants. Oats are recommended for the most fragile skin, children but also for mature skin, whose collagen production decreases.

- Rice milk: Hydrates and regenerates the skin. Rice is a component that is generally suitable for oily skin. It helps fight against excess sebum, impurities and many more. Thanks to the virtues of this food, the face is soothed and softened while the pores are cleansed. Perfect for pimples and blackheads.

- Coconut milk : Coconut milk is rich in vitamin C and helps maintain skin elasticity and flexibility. It is also rich in copper, so perfect for giving skin tone.

- Almond milk : Almond milk is an excellent source of vitamin A, D and E which have antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties that strengthen the skin's moisture barrier so that it is smoother and more supple. It even helps to increase recovery after tanning.

- Cashew milk: As cashews contain many proteins and antioxidants including selenium, it is good for hair and skin. Using cashew oil in hair helps in the production of melanin, the pigment that gives color to skin, hair, and eyes.

- Soy milk: Soy protects and repairs your skin, especially thanks to the antioxidant effects it provides. It can therefore protect the skin against oxidative stress induced by UVB rays.

- Cotton milk: Softening, soothing and emollient, it reduces redness and calms irritation.

- Papyrus milk: Particularly nutritious, it is incredible for hair and body hair.

Enjoy!
