Like at the spa, but at home.
The spa, this place that allows us to take a break from our daily lives for one (or several hihi) treatments. A time out that we put in the schedule to give way to slowness, to our senses. A moment of rest for our head and our body. A date with yourself.
At Selv, we want these moments to be integrated into your daily life. We firmly believe that reducing our stress and relaxing allows us to live more peacefully and helps improve several areas of our lives.
Here are some tips to help you reduce stress in your life:
1. Get some fresh air:
As simplistic as this may seem, going outside, whether for 15 minutes or an hour, will undoubtedly be beneficial for your body and your mind. Taking a break to go for a walk, run, or go for a bike ride allows your brain to take a break from your (sometimes too long) to do list and your body to stretch itself. This break in your day will certainly have a nice impact on your general mood. Try it several times sometimes to feel its benefits.
2. Diffuse essential oils
Our senses are always on the lookout for what is happening in our environment and we can stimulate and/or soothe them while continuing our daily activities. Diffusing oils with tranquilizing properties will reduce stress simply by living in your environment.
We recommend it to youoil to diffuse from the Rituel Nordique range which, designed with eucalyptus and lavender oil, is the perfect choice between calming and awakening your senses:
3. Our time is precious
Our time is precious and many of us tend to fill our calendars wall to wall with appointments, follow-ups, activities and outings, which leaves us little time to breathe and settle down. Learning to be more selective in how we use our time can have a big impact on our stress management and, our appreciation of all those activities that are on our schedule too! Take the time to make conscious choices, to change appointments so that they are at times when we feel more dynamic (e.g.: meeting with colleagues before noon because we have a higher energy level, 5 to 7 with our friends instead of dinner at 8:00 p.m. to ensure we don't go to bed too late during the week), these small changes made in order to follow our rhythm, a rhythm which can change throughout the months, lighten our mental load and help reduce our stress level.
4. Well-being moment
Setting aside wellness moments a few times throughout our week is also an excellent way to reduce our stress. When we take the time to soak in our bath, add a mist to our shower, apply an oil to our temples, we send a message to our head to relax. We invite him to slow down. These small or large gestures will have a big impact on your general well-being, make sure to take it regularly throughout your week, you will feel lighter.
Take the time to consult the different treatments of the Nordic Ritual (botanical oil, mist, diffusing oil, bath salt, etc.), it will compliment your daily life perfectly! Tell us which one is your favorite!
