1. Who we are

The selvrituel.com store is operated by Les Bains Selv Rituel inc. (Selv Rituel), 4710 Saint-Ambroise Street, Montréal, Quebec H4C 2C7, Canada. Phone: 514-701-7630. Email: info@selv.ca. The store is hosted by Shopify.

2. What these terms cover

These terms govern your use of the site and the purchases you make on it. They go together with our privacy policy, our shipping policy and our returns and refunds policy.

If you buy as a consumer, nothing in these terms takes away the rights you have under the Quebec Consumer Protection Act or the laws of your province. If there is a conflict, those laws prevail.

3. Our products

We describe our products, their ingredients and their sizes as accurately as we can. They are handmade: slight variations in colour, texture or scent from one batch to the next are normal and do not affect their quality. Colours may also look slightly different depending on your screen.

Read the ingredient list before using a product, especially if your skin is sensitive or you have known allergies. Our products are for external use.

4. Prices and payment

Prices are shown in the currency displayed on the site. Applicable taxes and shipping fees are itemized before you confirm your order. The price you pay is the price shown when you place your order.

Payments are processed securely by Shopify Payments and our other payment providers. We do not store your full card number.

5. Your order

After your purchase, you receive an email confirmation with the details of your order: products, prices, taxes, shipping fees and shipping address. Keep it for reference.

If a product becomes unavailable after you order, we let you know promptly and refund that product within 15 days.

We may refuse or cancel an order if we suspect fraud or if delivery to the address provided is impossible. We will let you know and refund you in full within 15 days.

6. Delivery

Processing and delivery times are described in our shipping policy. Your order remains our responsibility until it is delivered to you: if it is lost or arrives damaged, we replace it or refund you.

If your order is not delivered within 30 days after the expected delivery date or, if there is none, within 30 days after your order, you may cancel it at any time before delivery. We then refund you within 15 days of the cancellation. If you paid by credit card and we do not refund you within that time, you can ask your card issuer for a chargeback.

7. Legal warranty

Like any goods sold in Quebec, our products are covered by the legal warranty under the Consumer Protection Act: they must be fit for the purpose for which they are ordinarily used, for a reasonable length of time. This warranty applies automatically and cannot be excluded. If a product is defective, write to us at info@selv.ca.

Returns, exchanges and refunds are handled according to our returns and refunds policy.

8. Reviews and comments

You are free to post your opinion of our products, our services or the way we do business, whether positive or negative, on our site or elsewhere.

On our site, we may remove content that is illegal, hateful, defamatory, contains another person’s personal information or is not about our products. By posting a review on our site, you allow us to display it on the site and quote it in our communications, with the name you chose to display.

9. Use of the site

You agree to use the site lawfully, without harming its operation or security. The text, photos, logos and other content on the site belong to Selv Rituel or its partners. You may share them for personal use, but not reproduce them for commercial purposes without our written consent.

The site may contain links to other sites. We do not control their content.

10. Personal information

How we collect, use and protect your personal information is described in our privacy policy.

11. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Quebec and the federal laws of Canada that apply there. If you are a consumer, you may bring a claim before the court where you live.

12. Changes

We may change these terms. The version that applies to your order is the one in effect when you placed it. The date at the top of the page shows the latest update.
